TRAINING
Well-trained childcare workers who offer loving care, backed by knowledge and skills are the backbone of Mobile Creches. We create jobs for women from marginalised communities and train them to provide quality care for children within their cultural context.

Despite being home to the largest child population in the world, 1 in 3 children under the age of five in India lack foundational learning opportunities (World Bank, 2022). Not recognised as a professional cadre, ECD personnel in India struggle for remuneration, recognition and respect.
We provide training to the ECD workforce to build their confidence and equip them with the necessary knowledge, attitude and skills, enabling them to provide quality services to children and communities.

To support scaling of quality services, we provide training to:

A Life Shaped by Mobile Creches - Kanta

Kanta was 3 years old, living with her extended family in the slum area of Seemapuri when she was first enrolled in a centre run by Mobile Creches. As she grew up, staff at the centre helped get her enrolled in a government school to ensure she had access to quality education.
It was Kanta’s older sisters who first trained with Mobile Creches to work with children. Kanta followed suit and began to work as a teacher in 1989. Over time, she took on different roles—first as a centre in-charge, then as a supervisor. At every step, Mobile Creches provided her with the necessary training and guidance.
By 2015, Kanta became part of the Mobile Creches training team, and travelled to Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, to conduct pre-service training.

“It was a moment of immense pride and fulfillment for me,” shares Kanta. “When I joined MC, I had only completed my 12th grade. Here I got opportunities to grow and build a future. It didn't just uplift me, it uplifted my entire family. I was also able to provide my own children with a good education. Today, my son works as a supervisor at Tata Motors. My daughters are also well-settled in good jobs.”
Kanta shares that Mobile Creches has nurtured three generations of her family. First, she was a part of it, then her children, and now her grandchildren also go to Mobile Creches centres. “For me, Mobile Creches was never just an organization—it was my home, my family, and my greatest support system. I never left MC, and MC never left me,” adds Kanta.
